    Curious whether my friend;s apartment building is still standing. He lives (did live) at 4009 Pontchartrain Drive, 2nd floor.

    Is it still there and how high did the water get. He's my best friend and he drove back after the storm. Christopher J. Sumlin.

    I am wondering what the situation is like in Slidell, I hear very little on the news. I am concerned about some of my family members that live near North Shore Hospital. Are the subdivisions that were harder hit then others. Does anyone know? Please email me at michhamsha@hotmail.com.

    My father, Robert Foreman, is a resident at the Guest House a nursing home on Robert Rd. They were going to evacuate, but nobody seems to know where to. My mom evacuated with my sister to Baton Rouge, and have no clue where he is. If anyone works at the nursing home, or knows anything at al, please email me at brendanichols@hotmail.com. We would be grateful to hear anything, good news (preferably), or bad news. We just need to know where he is.Thanks

    I am searching for my missing father, Niles Stelly. The last time I heard from him was 6 am on Monday Aug. 29th, he was in the Oak Harbor Marina located at the Eden Isle/Oak Harbor area. He is about 6'1" dark complexion, wears eye glasses. His thumb on his left hand is split. He is 55 years old.

    Seeking information about the Holiday Acres Subdivision in Slidell. This subdivision is located off Gause Blvd. & I-10, behind the new Super Wal-Mart and Lowe's. This small subdivision is between Pope John Paul High School and Northshore High School. Any information about flooding, trees down, etc. would be greatly appreciated.     does anyone know if the debris in the curve of the road on oak harbor drive in slidell, la near the i-10 on ramp has been cleared so that the houses along the waters edge at oak harbor marina are accessable by vehicles? please respond to wswbuilder@yahoo.com.

    also, aerial damage photos of the entire slidell area are available at the website for the national oceanic and atmospheric administration (just key in NOAA in your search engine and click on hurricane katrina damage photos) There will be boxes to click on, the oak harbor area is actually shown in a couple of the boxes that look like they would be in lake ponchatrain. it may take a little time but you should be able to find your street if you are familiar with the local landmarks.

    Trinity Nursing Home in Slidell was not evacuated but survived hurricane well...Residents are being taken care of..generators are up...supplies provided...Telephone service should be established tomorrow, Tuesday

    I have not heard how my in-laws are doing. My mother-in-law is a resident of the LaCombe Nursing home (Elizabeth Robinson) and my father-in-law is a resident at NorthShore (William Robinson). If anyone knows how they are doing please email me at tehde@adelphia.net.

    I really hope LA is recovering ok. I was about 11 when hurricane Hugo hit the SC coast smack dab where we lived in Charleston. Not nearly as bad as this one, but pretty bad. Anyway. I wanted to share my Slidell Hotels page with your visitors. Hope it's ok. If not, no worries. Take care.
