Marketing Begins At Home: Our wonderful American media

I could guess that it might be related to the relationship between the BBC and politicians. There are constant arguments and shouting matches between the BBC and Government here about the BBCs right to publish whatever it sees fit in the national interest - hence the big argument about the reporting of the 'apparent' suicide of the WMD expert over here.

Maybe the US politicians have far too much influence over the US media, and just don't want people to know that two and a half thousand people have died when not in defence of their country?

Another girl went missing in Aruba, eh? Well, if I were a parent, I would not let my child go anywhere outside of the US without strict supervision. It is as much the parents' fault in letting her go to Aruba. This, however, is not a funny issue. We crack jokes, but what if it was someone you knew? Though it was an idiotic idea to let a child leave the country, we can't help but feel sorry for the family. That is, unless the family has been on TV for well over a year, which is way too long. There's always a limit. Too much attention for one girl is too much for anyone to handle or care about.
