It was doing so well until I noticed http://www.readysteadybook.com/ isn't in the literary list. Especially as its owner was nominated the 51st most important person in publishing by the Observer (uk broadsheet) - probably deserved, I've seen fewer books in public libraries than in that bloggers mail alone, the poor postie.

Which brings me to my point - I've made a suggestion on PubSub, but how can anyone be sure they are getting a fair deal and not being ignored out of hand - that there is no impropriety taking place? It could be like asking Tim ORA to list his favourite IT blogs, you can bet Tom R won't be in the list, but is that fair? At least computer generated lists don't get emotional and don't require trust :)

As a college student that is just being introduced to the world of blogging, I find it rather confusing and intimidating. I am currently enrolled in a class where we are required to blog two times a week on our own blog, as well as comment on two outside sources.

My own blog was easy to start and understand, but when it came to commenting I found myself lost. How do i find blogs? Where can I find blogs that include my interests? Coming across this particular blog I was almost relieved. I am sure that not every single blog is enlisted on PubSub, but it is a great start. Kudos to them!

Are there any other suggestions you have for a new blogger?
